Girl and Foo Dog which i decided not to put in the bazaar...don't mind it's two pages attached to one. I know it's mounted off of the matte board, but I like it and intended it that way.

Also, here's my scratchboard illustration assignment of Sinbad before he discovers his island is a WHALE!!!!!! (W/ detail shot!)

So for the next Comp. Graphics assignment we are making a promotional postcard. At first I wanted to go with the illustration of the Foo Dog and the little girl, so I colored it digitally which was fun and informative....but it didn't sit well on a rectangular surface. Yeah. Didn't plan that one. GO ME! So I thought and thought and finally considered doing something similar to my poster....It fit well on a rectangular surface and flowed well....so I came up with the girl and the salmon and the pelican!!!! I like it a lot better. I've printed little faux black and white versions to glue together and look at myself later, and I will print color versions of both this week when I buy some printer paper....shit. SO YEAH!!!!!!

I decided to mount my last computer graphics project and sell it at the Bazaar, and I had some scrap matte board that was super tall. I kind of liked the effect, but had an idea during Logic today to put a reflection. I redrew the same idea, slightly larger (on accident, but it kind of projects depth) and made a sad looking girl with a deer in her hair. Pricing it at $40. Hope it sells! Or kinda not, cuz I love itttt. (don't mind the excess rubber cement and the fact it needs to be glued down some more, that will be fixed!)

Stuff I've done this weekend! Hooray for four day weekends! Some shitty photography of a work-in-progress painting based on my previous preggo tribal lady, you can see how i use those acrylic paint by number paints I'm so cool amIrite? Also, a pen and ink drawing I'm planning on matting of a lady getting consumed by creepy baby hands, I was trying to be super flowy and loose and it was practice with drawing repeating lines. Then, my illustration project of an "Improbable event". I'm really proud of it.

I've done a lot of art lately, I've just been too lazy to drag out the scanner from under my bedside table and scan it. I'm trying to enhance my personal sketchbook with a lot of colored images for my end of year review this year. They saw my one/two colored images in my last sketchbook and said I had a good sense of color (AWESOME!!!) So I thought I'd load up on examples this time around, and dabble in character design and expressions (to be posted in the next one) in hopes to give oomph to my desire of sequential illustration. I've been using brush and ink, brush pens, and my old old friends--Crayola colored pencils. OH and did I mention that I found a WHITE GEL PEN after months of searching??? Overpriced in the school store, but well worth it. I'm so sad these went out of style after middle school.

Second painting for the Holiday Bazaar...I'll have to fix the hand, I just noticed it's wonky. Second image is it mounted on matte board, kinda blurry and the lady cut it crooked but whatevvvsss.

My first painting! (Not counting vase of flowers I had to paint in High School). It's on 3 4"x5" tiny canvases I bought for a dollar each at the art center when buying matte-board for Illustration class. I'm pretty happy with it! Ray says she looks Hawaiian. Or Mayan. NEAT. I used Microns, this brush pen I bought, acrylics, and colored pencils. I'm sad about the flash washing out some of her hair. IRL it's blacker than the blackest black times infinity.

These are best viewed NOT zoomed in. I'd resize them if I could, but when I do it really fucks up the lining.

Made today for Brennan's concert tonight. Each has the tracks listed on the back and are filled with awesome.

A few pages from a tiny illustration Mokeskine notebook I'm trying to flesh out ideas for graphic novels with.

This one really has no substance, I was just trying out some ideas and dabbling in panel continuity.

Deep sea nudity.
---------------
I wanted to use the general idea from my last drawing that I did on Paint BBS with the girl with long hair and elongated slender neck, with slightly detailed hair. I like how it came out, kind of an expanded on version of the girl in the last image.

So my companion, my dearest...my MacBook....just had a case of hard drive failure. The poor thing lost everything on it, and was out of my life for 9 or so days. I cleaned it while I mourned its loss, so its short a few stickers, and the keys are cleaner, as is its entire memory. This SHOULD entail more art, but it does not. I'm a lazy bum and get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. But I am not without art completely!!!

My attempt to try and make knee high converses cool:

For a bit of "photography" (aka "wanting to show off") my kickass new shoes. Neon high tops wtf. I look at these shoes and imagine I get a Spongebob-esque pink cheeked expression of joy:

And some artwork based on some of a dream I had last night, probably weird due to reading Madeleine L'Engle before bed, Proginoskes being my new favorite character EVER. Let me recount it first, so it makes a bit more sense:

I was holding hands with a line of hundreds of people. The sky was white, yellow, and orange, kind of radioactive looking. We were crossing a bridge over green and black water. I didn't immediately know why until one person looked up into the sky and deviated from the line, and exploded into dust and sunmotes and was blown away in the wind. Everyone was crying because apparantly this was the end of the world, standing together was the last test of faith, and God was killing people off one by one.

I made it to the end of the bridge still holding everyone's hands and there were two girls sitting there, holding sea shells. I asked them how they could possibly be alive and not be holding hands with everyone, which seemed to prevent explosion. They waved their sparkly shells around and I saw something splash in the water and surface and a human face poked out, all covered in scales. It was a giant rainbow trout with puny little arms, and just a human face. They told me these were mermaids, and to prevent the explosive wrath of God, you had to have part of something he didn't create inside of you, because God apparantly didn't create mutant mermaids.

These mermaids were attracted to shiny things stupidly, and couldn't speak, just push their faces against the shells and try and reach them with their arms which were the size of a babies'. One girl took her shell and smacked it as hard as she could over the nearest mermaids head, and it passed out. She drag it onto the shore, and the man I was holding hands with pulled out a knife (he used his other hand, so since he was still half connected I guess he was ok) and cut the skin off of the mermaid, but there was no blood, just another inside layer of blubber and intestinal skin covering its insides. He then cut through that, and we drank the blood, which was a really deep dark sinister color, and we were safe from God killing us, because apparantly God couldn't harm what he didn't create and can't understand.

Also there was some random chick with like 18 boobs in it, but I didn't want to draw her. She was weird.
